Quick Update

The nurse from the doctor's office here in town called this morning with the results of the antibody tests that they drew--they came back positive which would indicate Grave's Disease. The results from the tests they drew in Des Moines (3 antibody tests--1 specific to Grave's Disease that they didn't draw here...) are not back yet. They will probably be back on Thursday, so I would expect to hear from her (the Endocrinologist) on Thursday or Friday.

I'm still having really bad headaches, but have been able to keep them a little under control using Excedrin Migraine medicine. My heart rate has been between 70 and 80 every time I've checked my pulse, so that's good. My muscles are starting to get a lot weaker--it's getting harder for me to even climb the steps.

I did get out this morning and took the kids for a LONG walk to see the RAGBRAI people coming through town--whew...I think I'm done going anywhere for the week! I took our neighbor boy with us (he's 2) and the comments/questions turned from "wow, you have quite a crew" (people assuming they are all mine) to "how many of these are actually yours??"

The good news is my kids are getting to be a lot more well behaved since I have ZERO tolerence for any misbehavior or sassy talk. My senses feel like they are more "hyper", so even one scream is too much for me. I'm also just too tired to deal with disobedience. Addy has been my little mommy--taking care of me and telling me that I shouldn't be scared because God is always with me! =) She's been really in-tune to when I'm not feeling well and she's been a good helper!

I will post more Thursday or Friday when I know more...
