School

Creighton had another friend over a few days ago and we were all sitting together playing a game. I could tell his friend was contemplating something for a few minutes (he was looking all around the room...) and then he turned to me and said "your house looks like a school!" I often feel that way sometimes when I look around my house. I feel like every where I turn there is a poster, calendar, picture, phonics chart...something! Right now though, I wouldn't have it any other way. As much as I would love to have my house look like a house from Good Housekeeping or something, I am really enjoying this time with my kids. We were at Target tonight and Addy was saying "A says A, B says Buh and so on...". It makes me so excited to know that we taught her that!! (well, we can't take all the credit--we had a little help from Leap and the Word Factory gang! =)). It is one of the most rewarding things to listen to Creighton read and watch his love for reading grow! I am writing this mostly for my benefit--to remind myself that someday I might have the house like the one in a magazine, but today I have my kids. So, my house looks like a school...I'm learning to accept that! =)
